KYIV – August 15, 2026 – Ukrainian forces have continued long-range strikes against Russian energy infrastructure and military sites, according to Ukrainian officials and monitoring reports.
Recent attacks have targeted oil terminals and processing facilities, including sites linked to Black Sea exports, as well as a military airbase associated with ballistic-missile operations. Russian authorities have reported damage and temporary shutdowns at some facilities.
At the same time, Russian forces have maintained regular drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian air defences continue to intercept the majority of incoming drones, though strikes have caused casualties and damage in several regions.
The exchanges come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts around Black Sea shipping and broader questions about sustained Western support for Ukraine’s air defences and long-range capabilities.
