KYIV – August 10, 2026 – Russian missile and drone strikes overnight killed civilians and damaged residential areas in several Ukrainian cities.
In Kharkiv, Russian attacks hit a high-rise apartment block in the Saltivskyi district, killing at least two people and injuring more than a dozen others, according to regional authorities.
Strikes also targeted the Black Sea port of Odesa, where local officials reported damage to civilian infrastructure and several people wounded. Additional casualties and damage were reported in other regions.
Ukraine’s Air Force said it intercepted the majority of the incoming drones launched overnight. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has continued to urge Western allies to accelerate deliveries of air-defence systems and interceptors amid the ongoing attacks.
The strikes come as Ukraine maintains long-range operations against Russian logistics and energy targets.
