KYIV – October 26, 2026 – Russian forces launched four missiles and 140 attack drones against Ukraine on the night of October 25-26. Ukrainian air defences shot down or suppressed three of the four missiles and 112 of the drones, including 56 jet-powered ones. Hits were recorded at 15 locations. Debris fell at four more. Several drones were still in the air at 8 a.m. The missiles included one Kh-31P anti-radiation missile and three Kh-59/69 guided missiles launched from occupied territory. The drones were a mix of Shahed-type, including 70 jet-powered, Gerbera, and Parody decoys.
The overnight count is the latest in the series of large launches. The 112 drone intercepts and the three missile intercepts are the air-defence result. The 15 strike locations are the ones that were not stopped. Ukraine has said it is short of Patriot interceptors. The jet-powered drones continue to be harder to stop. The 56 jet-powered intercepts in the overnight total are the ones that were still brought down. The rest reached or debris fell. The attack is the military record for the night. The rest of the damage assessment is still coming in.
The diplomatic track has not stopped the launches. A local ceasefire is set to begin in Oleshky on October 27. Technical-level talks involving Ukraine, Russia, and the United States are planned for the first half of November. The overnight attack is the one that arrived while those arrangements were being confirmed. The three missiles that were neutralized and the 112 drones that were downed are the intercept numbers. The 15 locations that were hit are the ones that were not. The rest is the count of casualties and the extent of the damage once the full report is released.
